Christmas Crafts for Children
"Blizzard Paper Snowflakes"
Create a winter wonderland out of paper. Kids will love Christmas crafts for children. Their own creativity will shine through as they create their own snowflakes.
Our children will love the element of surprise in this project as they cut away and then reveal their intricate snowflake shapes. They don't need to worry about being perfect, because no two snowflakes are alike!!
Supplies You Need:
Scissors (safety scissors for kids ages 3-6)
Tissue paper (5" x 5")
Colored construction paper
White printer paper
Directions:
1. Lay out a piece of tissue paper on a clean, dry surface. Fold diagonally into a triangle, then fold that triangle two more times, keeping the triangle shape
2. Help kids cut round, square, or triangular shapes into each side. Try to cut at least two to three shapes into each edge. Gently pull the cut-outs out of the folds
3. Carefully unfold your paper snowflake and lay it out flat. You may want to press them in between books to flatten out the folds
4. Now you can use them to decorate the tree, hang in windows, or attach to cards to give them a personal touch
