A Little Bit About MeHi, my name is Kim, owner and creator of "Crafts-from-the-Heart." A little bit about me and how I got started on this exciting web-site journey. I have 2 grown children, Tiffany and Travis, and a wonderful husband of 4 years. I have had a successful cleaning business for 26 years, and believe it or not, I Love it--I love to clean and organize. Crazy, I know. But now that I am approaching the big 5-0 I thought I may need another source of income for the future--not knowing how long my body will hold out. About 2 years ago, my son started an internet marketing business using Site-Build-It, check out his web-site, "Home Business Advantage." And, he loves it! He tried to think of a niche for me so I could get my own web-site started too. One day I was making a "Homemade" gift basket for a friend as my husband was looking on. He then talked to my son and told him about it. Travis said "that's it." Mom's niche is crafting. Remembering as a child how I always loved making homemade crafts with the kids and making homemade gifts to give to our friends and family. Not knowledgeable (at all) about computers, my son decided to fly home for a couple days to help me. We had quite a few laughs at my "computer skills." But we did it!! We built a Homepage and I was well on my way--so I thought. I was still a bit overwhelmed with the computer but continued to jot down idea after idea. But getting these ideas onto my site was still challenging for me. Now that I look back, I can see how foolish that was, as Site Build It (SBI) makes it so simple. Almost a year later, I finally decided to get busy--tomorrow! I woke up and told my husband that I had a dream that I had started building pages. He just grinned. I went into my office, sat down with all my ideas in front of me, opened up SBI and there it was, my first page! I screamed, "Honey, my dream came true." He knew my endeavors, and my struggles; so he took my notes, sat down at my computer, and built my first page!! (You Rock Sweetie!) That was it, I did not leave my computer all week-end. What a blast!! SBI was so simple--believe me, if I can do it anyone can do it. Now I can't stop, it is so much fun. I have to force myself to get out and go to work. I now have a web-site that's building me a source of passive income. And, it's fun and easy!! I Love to sit down at my computer now and work. My husband also has a web-site, "Ice Fishing Central." We work together when we are home on our web-sites that are getting us ever closer to our dream of retiring and spending our time fishing in Alaska and ice-fishing where-ever we can!! And, of course, spending quality time with our children and our precious grand-daughter, Marlie. Life just keeps getting better and better. Thanks to my son, his ambition and determination, and getting my husband and I started on this awesome path to financial freedom!!
