What You Will Need:  dozen hard-boiled eggs egg-dye kit masking tape or contact paper hole punch assorted stickers straight pins pair of tongs or a slotted spoonDirections: 1. For the base color: Prepare bowls of egg dye, following directions on the kit. Dip each egg into dye; let it sit until it's the color you want. Remove the egg from the dye and let it dry. 2. Create patterns on the eggshell by using some tape and a different color dye. Apply narrow strips of tape to create stripes; use a hole punch to make polka dots and stick them on the shell; you can also use cutouts or stickers (fun Easter craft ideas). Once you have applied the tape or stickers, dip the egg into another, darker color, then take it out and let it dry. Carefully remove the tape or contact paper cutouts to see your design. 3. Another variation: Apply the tape, stickers or contact paper cutouts to a dry white egg. Dip the egg into the dye, then remove and let dry. Carefully remove the applications and reveal the white pattern left on the egg.
