Crafts for Children

"Candy Bracelets"

We love crafts for children that are easy to make and that bring smiles to their faces. Here is a wonderful idea--adorable candy bracelets and necklaces that kids of all ages will have as much fun making as they will wearing.

Supplies You Need:

plastic tubing in 3/8-inch diameter (you can get this at any hardware store)

scissors

tiny colorful candy that will fit into the tubing

bamboo skewer

plastic tubing in 1/2-inch diameter

Directions:

1. Cut a 6-8 inch piece of the 3/8-inch tubing (use a 10-12 inch piece for a necklace)
2. Fill the tube with the candy (use the skewer if any of the candy gets stuck)
3. Cut a 1-inch piece of the 1/2-inch tubing. Use that piece to connect the ends of the bracelet or necklace by sliding both ends of the narrower tubing into the wider tubing

Tip:These can also be used as "fun" napkin rings, they will make your table look bright and cheery, plus your guests can wear them home. Mom, you can make these with your kids and use as party favors--kids will love them!!
