Wonderful Crafts to Make for Mom are"Scented Wax Bears"If you are trying to think of the perfect crafts to make for mom, you are in the right place. A gift that my mom loved and treasured was her "Wax Dipped Scented Bear." I am certain your mom will absolutey love this wax bear just as my mom did. You'll love walking into her house and smelling the scent of vanilla. Make this wonderful gift with "Mom" in mind; she will treasure it for a long time. Supplies You Need:  Stuffed Bear (any small sized cute bear will do, I find mine at second hand stores or garage sales) Chunk of wax (you can get this at any craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michael's) Oil Scent (any flavor - vanilla, jasmine, cinnimon are great scents) Wire coat hanger Wax paper Ribbon Directions: 1. Melt the wax in a double boiler on the stovetop 2. When melted add oil scents (usually about 12 drops or so) 3. Undo the coat hanger and wrap the hook side around the bears neck 4. Very gently dip the bear in the wax to completely submerge it 5. Lift the bear up out of the wax and let excess wax drip off 6. Place bear on wax paper to stiffen up (overnight is good) 7. Tie a ribbon around the bears neck Tip: I usually just keep the wax in the large pot until I am ready to make another "scented bear." I use a pot that I purchased from a second-hand store for next to nothing.Tip: The wax dipped bears can be cleaned by blowing off with a hair dryer set on cool setting.
