Easter Basket Craft Ideas

Let's get our children ready for the easter bunny with these Easter basket craft ideas. Easy-to-make "bunny baskets" are adorable, and are perfect for fetching those eggs!

Supplies You Need:

Half gallon milk carton

Scissors

Stapler

Construction Paper (pastel colors)

Craft glue

Hole punch

Pipe cleaners for whiskers

Pair of googly eyes

Directions:

1. Remove 1 panel of the milk carton (using scissors or utility knife) and save it for the handle

2. Staple the open spout closed

3. Using the construction paper, cover the sides of the milk carton and glue in place, then trim to fit

4. Punch a hole in the center of the spout ridge and insert the pipe cleaners for bunny whiskers

5. Glue the googly eyes in place

6. Using construction paper, cut out large paper ears; cut smaller ears out of pink construction paper and glue them in the middle of the larger ears

7. Staple the ears to the top of the bunny base

8. For the handle, trim the extra side piece of the carton and cover it with construction paper and glue in place; staple it to the basket

Tip: Some fun ideas for your Easter party. Captain Bunny For a change in the traditional Easter Egg Hunt, try Captain Bunny. Divide the children into 2 teams and draw straws to choose a captain for each team. With younger children, have an adult act as captain. The children must find one egg at a time and bring it to their captain before they continue their search for more eggs. After all the eggs are found, the team whose captain has the most eggs wins.
