Little "Peeps"

Easter crafts and spring projects will be as bright and colorful as they will be fun for the whole family. These fun, easy projects will be as exciting to make as watching the blooms unfold in your flower garden. Let's get started and jump right into spring!
For "Little Peeps" You Will Need:
Yellow Crepe Paper
Pair of Scissors
Thin Craft Wire
Thick Craft Glue
Orange Tissue Paper
Small Black Beads
How To Make "Little Peeps":
1. Cut four 3 X 4 inch rectangles out of a sheet of crepe paper. 2. Take a small piece of wire and wrap it tightly around the middle of the stack. 3. To make the peep's fluffy feathers, pull each layer toward the wire, to form a pom-pom. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 with four 2 x 3 inch pieces of crepe paper for the peep's head. 5. Use a dot of the craft glue to attach the peep's head to the peep's body. 6. For the beak, cut a piece of orange tissue paper into a 1/2 inch square. Fold it in half diagonally to create a triangle. Put a dot of glue on the folded edge and position the beak on the peep's head. 7. Put a drop of glue on the 2 black beads and glue eyes to the peep's head.
Fun ways to use your peep: glue it to the front of a paper cup and use as a candy dish, or place around the house for Easter decor.
Hint: Take an egg carton and have your child paint it with colorful spring colors and put the "peeps" in it--very cute!!
