Spring is on its way! Jump-start the growing season with floral crafts. These cheery felt blossoms are easy to make and can be pinned to backpacks, coats or purses to add some springtime cheer.
Supplies You Need:
Scissors
Felt pieces (green for leaves, and your choice for flower colors)
Thread and needle
Small pom pom
Hot glue gun
Pin (to attach to backpack,coat or purse)
Directions:
1. Cut a strip of felt about 1-1/2" wide and 8 or 9 inches long
2. Cut one long edge into a scalloped line or a pointy zigzag (each shape will make a different type of flower)
3. Thread a needle and knot the thread
4. Starting at one end of the strip, make large running stitches along the straight edge
5. Pull the thread so that the strip gathers into a tight circle, then tie off the thread
6. Cut a leaf shape from a piece of the green felt
7. Hot glue the leaf to the back of the flower
8. Hot glue a pom pom to the center of the flower
9. Attach the pin to the back of the flower
