Flower Crafts
Tissue Paper Flowers
Springtime will come early at your house with flower crafts.You and your children will have so much fun transforming tissue paper and pipe cleaners into these beautiful blossoms. It's a wonderful way to brighten up your home and the face of the child who made them.
Supplies You Need:
 coffee cup (4")
pencil
colorful tissue paper
scissors
pipe cleaners
4-6" clay flower pots
Directions:
1. Using the coffee cup as a template, trace circles onto the tissue paper
2. For each flower, cut out 9 circles to make the petals
3. Put the tissue paper circles together and poke the pipe cleaner through the center of the paper
4. Twist the end of the pipe cleaner and slide the tissue paper up the pipe cleaner to meet the end you twisted
5. One by one, fold the circles up and gently adjust to look like flower petals
6. Put some small rocks or marbles in the bottom of your flower pots
7. Arrange the flowers in the pot
Hint: For extra fun, have your child decorate the flower pot with ribbon, rick-rack, or yarn. Simply cut and glue on. Adds a beautiful touch.
