Free Halloween Crafts and Party Ideas
Since Halloween is centered around candy, providing these free Halloween crafts will give you recipes and treats that will add something more to your parties.
Starting with this awesome Halloween Punch. Just combine a large can of pineapple juice, 2 quarts of orange drink, 1 quart of ginger ale, 1 quart of orange sherbet, and 1 small package of orange gelatin. The punch can be served from a bowl placed inside a large, hollowed pumpkin. You can draw a face on the pumpkin with a felt-tip pen. Pumpkin cookies or orange cupcakes decorated with faces made from cut black licorice are easy additions.
"Halloween Lollipop Cookies"
Ingredients You Need:
Your favorite Shortbread cookie recipe
Decorative frosting
Apples (whole red apples serve as the base for each lollipop cookie)
Popsicle sticks, toothpicks or wooden skewers
Directions:
1. On a lightly floured pastry board or between 2 sheets of wax paper, roll out dough to 1/4" thickness.
2. Cut Halloween shapes in the rolled dough with cookie cutters
3. Lift cookies and set them on cookie sheet and poke the stick, toothpick, or skewer about halfway up inside each cookie.
4. Bake cookies at 325 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool cookies on rack. Decorate with frosting and write names on each cookie of the party list.
5. When frosting is hard to the touch, stick each lollipop into an apple and set on your party table.
Tip: You can also make Witches Brooms by following the directions for lollipop cookies except shape the cookies into broomsticks by rolling a snake of dough about 1/2" thick and 3" to 4" long. Put about 1 teaspoon of dough through a garlic press and cut the dough strings from the press with the tip of a knife.
Press your finger down on one end of each broomstick to make a flat spot. Dab a drop of water on this spot, then press on a section of the stringy dough to make the broom "straw." With a knife, cut straight across the end of the "straw."
Bake and decorate; write the name of each guest in frosting along the broom handle.
Fun Party Idea:
Divide children into pairs and give each pair a roll of toilet paper. Let each pair decide who will be the "mummy" or assign a "mummy" for each team. At the signal to begin, each partner wraps his or her "mummy" in toilet paper from head to toe. The mummy who is most thoroughly wrapped with toilet paper at the end of three minutes wins.
