Garden Crafts

Spring is in the air and it's time to start thinking about garden crafts. Craft ideas to start our gardening inside. This is a perfect craft for our children to help us with. They can help plant flowers, tomatoes or any vegetable they want in their garden, then we can watch their amazement as they see their plant grow. It's easy and FUN!!

Supplies You Need:

Dozen eggs in cardboard egg carton

Top soil

Seeds (any flower or vegetable seeds of your choice)

Marker

Directions:

1. Crack the eggs in half (I use a knife and gently crack the egg across the middle, then clean out the egg. You can save eggshells over a period of time after you have used the egg, then you won't have any waste)
2. Lay the cleaned-out halved egg shells in the egg carton
3. Fill up each shell with top soil
4. With your finger, press seeds down into the soil of each eggshell
5. Mark the name of the plants on the inside of the egg carton
6. Keep the soil moist and and place near sunlight

Tip: When the plant is ready for planting in the garden, you can plant the eggshell right into the ground. This is a fantastic way to start our plants inside the house with no messes!!
