Mother's Day is a great time to remember your mom. But don't wait for a holiday to enjoy making this indoor craft. Do something special for mom anytime of the year.
Celebrate your mom with a scrapbook page and give it to her when she needs a special boost. It will show her how appreciated she really is!
Supplies You Need:
1 sheet (12" x 12") each: floral paper, purple embossed paper, green & white cardstock & white vellum
Colored pencils: purple & green
7 large silver eyelets
1 yard 1/2" ribbon
3 white silk flowers
1/4 yard white tulle
4 medium silver brads
Basics: scissors, adhesive, 1/2" circle punch, eyelet setter, hammer, sewing machine & black pen

Directions:
1. Photo: Mat your photo on green cardstock and tear each edge, leaving a 1/4" border. Mat again on purple embossed paper and trim, leaving a 1" border. Cut two 1" squares from green cardstock. Cut each in half diagonally and adhere them to each corner of the purple mat.
2. Title: Copy the title (A Mother Like No Other) onto white cardstock. Color in the open sections of the letters with a purple pencil. Add green shaded curves through the lettering. Tear around the title and color the edges with green pencil. Adhere to purple embossed paper and trim it into a block. Mat on green cardstock and trim, leaving a 1/4" border.
3. Tied Bows: Punch two holes at the bottom of the photo mat and two at the top of the title block. Set a silver eyelet into each hole. Thread ribbon through the holes and tie into a bow. Adhere the matted photo and title block to the page.
4. Border: Cut a 3" x 12" border strip from purple embossed paper. Adhere three silk flowers at the top, bottom and middle of the cut strip. Punch a 1/2" hole in the center of each and set a large silver eyelet in each hole. Cut three 2-1/2" squares from white tulle. Layer one square over each flower and machine stitch each in place.
Finish by printing your memories on vellum blocks (about 2-1/2" x 1-3/4") and attach to the border strip with silver brads between the flower accents. Highlight a few words with purple pencil. Adhere the border to the right side of the page.
Tip: Learn to adapt any design to fit your photos. Then create your own pages from what inspires you in these originals.
