Creative Crayon Art

Supplies You Need:

Wax Paper
Colorful Crayons
Rolling Pin
Iron (must be used by mom or under parents supervision)
Yarn
Hole Punch
Sisssors
Wire Coat hanger or embroidery ring (available at any craft store)

Directions:

1. Peel crayon colors of your choice
2. Put into baggie and crush by using the rolling pin
3. Tear off 2 pieces of wax paper
4. Lay one piece of paper down and sprinkle the crayon shavings on top
5. Lay the other piece of wax paper over the top of the crayon shavings
6. Lay a towel over project, then take the iron (on low setting) and gently go over it until the crayons are melted.
7 After cooled, cut into desired shapes and put a hole at the top of each piece
8. String a piece of yarn through the hole (about 12" long) and tie
9. Use the wire coat hanger or embroidery ring to display the artwork

Note: Remember to clean the iron when you are finished. You can do this by turning the iron to high and iron over a piece of clean brown or white paper. Any wax deposits will melt off the iron onto the paper.
