Ideas for Paper Crafts

"Wisdom Notes"

Gift giving from the heart with paper crafts. Wonderful heart-warming ideas that are easy and fun. Let's start with "Life In A Jar" and begin reaping the feel-good rewards that come from sharing a little part of ourselves.

Giving tid-bits of wisdom to our children and grand children is priceless.
"My Life In A Jar" is a paper craft gift that will be treasured by those we give it to. Life lessons, humorous incidents, and treasured memories can all be "bottled up," so to speak, for those we love.

Supplies You Need:

12-16 ounce Mason jar (vintage jar found at a flee market or antique store makes a unique gift)
Construction paper (your choice of color)
Ribbon
Scissors
Glue stick
Memories of a lifetime

Directions:

1. On a plain piece of paper, write or type "little" lessons, incidents and memories; cut out each one (approximately 1-inch to 6-inch pieces)
2. Fold in half and put in the jar (fill up the jar with "memories")
3. Cut the construction paper the size of a 4x6 index card
4. Type the following on a piece of paper and cut it out and glue it to fit on the 4x6 piece of construction paper:

Ingredients
Life was not meant to be bottled up forever. This jar is jam-packed with deliciously interesting "life lessons" and "memories" that are sure to warm your heart!

Recipe
Combine a generous slice of your life history with a dash of nostalgia and several cups of facts and feelings. If you follow this recipe you will soon find that you have a very delicious, personal history of my life. Spend a few minutes thinking about the memory shared. This jar was prepared to preserve my stories.
ENJOY the scrumptious memories!!!

5. With a hole punch, put a hole in the "recipe" card, put the ribbon through the hole and tie it onto the jar
6. Type "My Life In A Jar" on a piece of paper and cut it out and glue it to the mason jar

This is the gift of a "Lifetime." It will be treasured by your children!

Tip: You can also use this same idea for "love notes" for a special someone, or a child can write little memories and sayings that can be given to a parent as a gift to be treasured.
