Sand Art CraftsSand art crafts are simple and fun for the whole family. Be creative with your own colors and bottle shapes. Lots of fun!! Supplies You Need:  Large paper cups Fine sand (preferable from your favorite vacation spot) Water Green, blue, and yellow food coloring (or your choice of color) Paper towels Glass bottle with cork or a jar with lid Bamboo skewers Plastic spoonsDirections: (for sand) 1. Fill each paper cup halfway with sand 2. Add enough water to each cup to completely cover the sand 3. Add a few drops of food coloring to each cup to get the desired colors 4. Stir each cup with a plastic spoon and set aside for about a half hour for the sand to absorb the color 5. Pour the excess water off the sand and scoop the sand out onto the paper towels and allow the sand to dry completely Directions: (for sand art) 1. Add layers of different colored sand to create the pattern you desire (you can make straight horizontal layers, or change the pattern by tilting the bottle or jar as you pour another layer of sand; you can also poke a bamboo skewer along the edges after each layer to create a wavy effect 2. Fill to the top and screw the lid on the jar or place the cork in the bottle
