"Lemonade For Sale"

Running a roadside operation is a fun way for kids to excercise math skill, creativity, and responsibility while earning their own pocket money. For a twist on the traditional lemonade stand, young entrepreneurs can offer these unique items:

Flowers--Handmade bouquets picked from the yard or nearby fields. Tie with colorful ribbon or place in clean, empty jars.

Snacks--Your child's specialty, such as "Tiffany's Peanut Butter Cookies" or "Travis' Strawberry-Grape Kabobs."

Humor--Kids can put together a list of jokes and tell or act them out for a quarter each. Budding artists can design and sell comic strips.

Postcards--Invite your child to draw or paint pictures of building, flowers, and shops around your neighborhood on blank cards.

Friendship Bracelets--Super easy--every kid can make them out of string, beads, ribbon, and more.
