Great ideas for giving unique gifts.

Unusual, Odd and Unique Gifts - 3 Creative Ideas

Author: Larry Donaldson

If you are like most people, you lead a pretty busy life. That fact, combined with the observation that most of us are just not born shoppers, can make it hard to find just the right gift for someone you care about.

Goodness knows that finding the right gift is important. Whether a gift-giving occasion is approaching or you just want to spontaneously show someone you are thinking about them, the right gift says that you are in tune not only with their and dislikes - but also with what is hip and cool.

Here are 3 creative ideas for finding unusual, odd and unique gifts:

1. Take a road trip together:

Think of all of the road trip-themed movies you have ever seen. I can think of at least 20 good ones off the top of my head. Why is the road trip such a common theme in movies? Because today, just as they were way back in the 1950s and prior, road trips are just a heck of a lot of fun. Why not spring for the gas, food and hotels and plan for a weekend getaway together? It is almost guaranteed they have never been given a unusual, odd and unique gift like this.

2. Get them a custom-made gift basket:

Gift baskets nowadays come in sizes to match anybody's unique gift budget, and the sheer variety of contents you can find in gift baskets is mind-boggling. Basically, if you can imagine it, there is a gift basket out there somewhere that contains it.

If you have trouble finding the right gift basket for him or her, why not make your own? Just come up with a theme that will tickle their fancy (think about their hobbies and most-liked extracurricular activities to help you generate ideas) and buy contents to match. Then, wrap a nice red ribbon around it and voila - a unique and unusual gift basket.

3. Pay their tuition for a class or course:

There is little that is more gratifying in life than learning something new. Broadening your horizons through bettering yourself is a great way to fight off boredom, improve self-confidence and just plain have more fun. Why not pay their tuition for a cooking, scuba diving or rock-climbing class? Or, if you live near a community college, how about getting them a full semester's course in something cool? If you haven't leafed through a modern community college's course catalog (which you can get for free - hint, hint) lately, you are probably unaware of all of the cool stuff that is available to learn these days. And, what an amazing gift opportunity that would be!

Take these 3 creative ideas to heart as you search for the right unique gift for him or her.
