Valentine Craft"Heart Vase"
Remember someone special with a Valentine craft. Starting with this lovely vase from the heart. Just fill with a Valentine bouquet & let it speak "I love you" to that special someone in your life. A unique gift that will be treasured long after Valentine's Day. Simple enough for young children to make for that special person in their life. Supplies You Need:  Masking tape Glass vase of your choice Gold spray paint Tracing paper Scissors Pencil Glass paints (in Valentine colors, red, pink and white) Paintbrush Gold glitter paint pen (you can get these supplies at any arts & crafts store)Directions: 1. Use masking tape to section off a rectangular area on the vase, leave the rectangle uncovered and cover the rest of the vase with tape 2. Spray the open space on the vase with 2 to 3 coats of gold spray paint, allowing paint to dry between coats 3. When completely dry, remove the masking tape from the vase 4. Trace a heart shape (using a heart-shaped cookie cutter) onto the tracing paper, then cut out 5. Trace the heart shape onto the gold painted area 6. Paint the heart using the colored glass paint (it may require 2 coats of paint) 7. Add red colored dots in the gold area by dipping the handle end of the paintbrush into the paint and dotting onto the gold surface 8. Add white dots inside the heart 9. Outline the heart with the gold glitter paint pen, let dry thoroughly Tip: Glue silk petals on a jar to create a vase, then add a beautiful bouquet
